Weird, weird, weird
How do you discover something like this about your cat? What odd circumstances lead you to try this once? The cat is obviously enjoying himself; I can't help but wonder if he was abused as a kitten. Or there's lot of catnip involved...

Friday Cat Bloging
You’ll notice I now have a section just for cats. Click for cuteness...
First up is Janus wanting a bath. I don’t know why he wants a bath, he licks himself often enough. What else can it mean when he wanders into the dishwasher, though? Don’t worry, I had a nice fluffy towel waiting for him when he got out...

All we are is dust in the wind, Janus. Here he is watching Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure. Cat’s Laughing is the name of a band, though; I’m not sure if Janus found it funny...

I do know how Janus gets his kicks; playing cIV with me. I build cities, he tries to smash them...

Catlike Grace
So my cat, like, all others, enjoys running back and forth for no reason. I decided to try it myself to see what all the fuss is about. Is that weird?

Janus thinks he’s a new flavor of Linux, or perhaps merely a desktop application...

There are a trio of doorways in my hallway, just to give Janus the chance to be the most in the way. Here he is standing in the intersection of two of them...

I’ve taught my cat well, here he is watching Monty Python

Friday cat blogging again
Well, I am down to just one cat. The Roommate moved her cat to her new place last night, and Purrbox got himself adopted. That means it’s just Janus and me kicking it in Davis...
Janus is still a kitten, despite his size. And like all kittens, he likes to explore. So when he wandered into my office garbage, my friend Mike couldn’t help but pick the whole thing up...

I like video games, Janus likes video games. Janus is in the process of Sacking Washington DC. He’s like 1000 times the size of Godzilla, which you can imagine would terrify my virtual citizens...

Here we see Janus chasing his first mouse. Of course, since I live in an area that’s devoid of real mice, Janus is making due with a computer mouse. I am going to guess this isn’t nearly as satisfying as chasing the real thing, so I took out some string and let him chase that around...

Sunday Cat Blogging
Are my cats the cutest things ever? I think so!
Here we’ve captured the wild Janus in his natural habitat, the doorway. His prey consists of lego, preferably pre-built, though he’ll scatter pieces around if they’re available.

Cat under glass? Pixel is a bit camera shy, preferring to run away when the camera comes out. He can open doors, but doesn’t seem to have figured out that glass is transparent in both directions. Your hiding place will avail you not, kitten!

Purrbox is our foster, and he may be getting adopted this coming week, he’s awfully cute. Probably the most mischievous cat I’ve met, and gets into everything. I’ve seriously considered baby-proofing the cabinetry so that he won’t get into them. Here, he proudly surveys his domain from his new found perch...

Lets get right to it, shall we?

Here we see Janus doing his thing, sitting in the doorway. I missed snapping the picture where he managed to sit in a pair of doorways at once-- something that a Roman Diety would have needed 4 heads to accomplish...

This is Pixel. He’s awfully cute and knows how to open doors. Granted, opening doors isn’t quite like walking through walls, but does bear a striking resemblance. Also means that you have to double check the lock when you go to the bathroom...

This is Purrbox. We’re fostering him while he awaits adoption. Purrbox is named that way because he purrs no matter what-- even while being bathed. He really is a delightful kitten and would be wonderful in any home. If you live somewhere between Sacramento and San Jose, and are interested in adopting an older kitten (very young cat), drop me an Email...

Well, last Tuesday, the GF and I went down to Marine World. The GF mainly just pined after the kittens. And who wouldn’t?

Now, me? I’m not convinced that the guy lounging around with the Tigers and sticking his arm in their mouths was entirely sane. He called it wrestling with them. Of course, he’s still alive, so...

So, my cats seem to like to chase my cursor around the screen. As we all know, the cursor is controlled by the mouse. I guess it’s just something in their genes...
