Yeah, those new "Poetic" evaluations are terrible. the rhyme sceme is always ABBA with the occasional C thrown in...

but you know that UCSC will always rule for best mascot...

You better believe it! The Slugs could take your pansy-ass My Little Ponies any day of the week! ;)

Gods, I just got the best idea for a short. Sadly, it makes no sense, since UCSC doesn't have a football team...and I'm not actually sure if Davis does either. Still...the image of a packed stadium with screaming fans (all, oddly, wearing the same blue and gold), the competing marching bands with their giant hoops of fabric for the teams to run through, led by the mascots...the music crescendos and...

A slug crawls out from under one of the hoops, slowly oozing along the grass as the band peters out.

Across the field, the band members holding the hoops move back quickly...until the cow (yeah, I'm changing it!) bursts through the fabric...to stand there and chew its cud.

The teams glance back and forth at each other, then charge forward...the lead runner for the Slugs accidently steps on the mascot and slips in the slime, crashing down and taking the whole team with him. The Aggies have a good laugh, then charge forward, to slip in the fresh cow pie left by their own mascot.

And thus was the end of Slug/Cow football.

Okay, I gotta get back to work now.

Lumberjacks are not even listed. Not that I am surprised.
