I am reading the book Perfectly Legal right now. Amanda’s comments dovetail nicely with the thesis of the book, which is business owners and CEOs have ways of hiding money from the IRS that simply aren’t available to everyone else. Furthermore, the IRS is much more likely to actually audit someone who has little to get than they are to audit someone who has lots to take.
