I think Bush just lost.

Capitalism Magazine: Dr. Leonard Peikoff's View on the 2004 Presidential Election by News Wire

What's fun is peeking around the various libertarian message boards and comment threads and seeing Randroids fleeing this guy like rats fleeing the Titanic.

I really wish that was enough to make Bush lose the election. It should be enough, and people SHOULD care enough to vote whether they like either candidate or not, but the jaded side of me (disproportionately large compared to the idealist side) says it could still be Dubya in the lead. I think if more voters were likely to choose reason over religion, especially in the "Bible belt" he tends to do so well in, then it'd be a different story.

I picked up Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal (CUI) the same time I picked up John Kerry's A Call To Service. I read Kerry's book first thinking he had my vote, but the more and more I read CUI the more decided I am that Bush has my vote.

The damage that Bush can do in the next 4 years will be less than what Kerry can do in 8. Chances are though, that Kerry will be back in 4 years if he does loose. That's when his and Edward's Senate seats are up for vote.
