To Life

My cousin Daniel met a girl and fell in love. I'm sure that had I known the girl and not the boy, I would write that sentence the other way around. But the point is that they met, played the game of girls and boys, and fell in love. It is an old tale, indeed, one of the oldest known to Humanity. It is the very non-uniqueness that makes their love special, I think. So: Boy and girl meet, Boy and Girl Fall in Love, Boy and Girl Get Married. Yesterday, 3 August 2003, my cousin and his girl completed the end of that story, and began a new one of their own...

The Wedding was set in a gorgeous location in the Oakland hills. I don't know that they could have picked a better location had they tried. Wait, of course, they tried, this being a wedding. So, couldn't have picked a better location...

The Bride was blushing and radiant, the Groom nervous, Ceremony short and profound, the bridesmaids hit on by the groomsmen. It was a fairytale...

They won't live happily ever after of course, it wouldn't be real if they did. Right in the vows, they warn "Good times and in Bad". But they are adults, confirmed as such at their wedding, by their friends and family. They can handle the bad. Here's hopping that the good outweighs it...

To Daniel and Sarah Royer I pray for Blessings. May the Gods allow you to accomplish what you wish to accomplish, and may fortune only be capricious in your favor. L'Chaim!
